This year’s theatre features a tight knit cast that includes Pleasant Hill members from Montgomery and Macoupin Counties. We will feature several dinner theatre veterans & a few rookies. The cast includes Jay & Sarah Fetter from Litchfield; Carlinville residents Matt & Crissy Dowland, Mark & Heather Lohnes-Kanllakan, Ed Hammann, and Mark Olroyd. Sue Caudle resides in Atwater, and Raymond residents Greg & Dee Neisler round out the cast.

Pleasant Hill is thrilled to offer this event once again for our communities. The doors open for seating 20 minutes prior to each production, a buffet begins the evening, the production follows, and we do take an intermission for dessert! VBS leaders at Pleasant Hill Christian Church are making sure you know that Vacation Bible School is full of fun, adventures, & the students are guaranteed a great time! With a western themed VBS production called “Wonder Junction”, young people will travel off the beaten path and hit the trails of the frontier west. On every dusty path, everywhere across the plains- new treasures are just waiting to be discovered. This adventure-based Vacation Bible School program takes place August 3-7, 2025 from 6-8:30PM each day.
There will be classes for students from age 4 through the 5th grade. "Kids will be divided into teams and will travel throughout the church campus as they discover how God blessed us with His Word!” explains Sunny Rosenthal, Pleasant Hill Director of Children’s Ministries. “Every student will also experience the ultimate biblical trek through time as they follow the “history book of the universe”-THE BIBLE, on a tour of the 7 C’s of history: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation.” Students will learn some fascinating Bible details from the special ‘tour guides’ each night. All along the way, they'll learn that God’s Word is true!” she added.
Pleasant Hill is jumping with excitement as the church gears up for “Wonder Junction”. This creation themed VBS produced by Answers In Genesis will provide fun, memorable Bible-learning activities for kids of all ages. Pleasant Hill’s Darrin Daugherty explains, “Wonder Junction applies God’s Word to relevant topics of the day. All of this is intermixed with fun western-themed activities, catchy songs, exciting games, tasty treats, and fun decorations. The excitement is sure to bring children back day after day. This is a great opportunity for the students to discover how God blessed us with His handiwork all around us, as we enjoy learning about Jesus.”
Parents can register their students for the VBS in advance by clicking the BLACK REGISTRATION BUTTON on this page. REGISTER EARLY TO REQUEST A T-SHIRT! Registration will also be available in the church’s foyer on Sunday night, August 3rd starting at 6:00 PM.
